Bugs/4th of July

Pearlridge Mall Giant Insect Safari. Thanks for coming with us Jacob!
Happy 4th of July. We celebrated at Turtle Bay. It was a lot of fun. The girls had fun playing in the princess bounce house and they loved the fireworks. We're so lucky that Taylor has so many little friends around to play with. And I'm lucky to have such awesome friends too!

We were sad Brett couldn't watch the fireworks with us. It was his opening day for his moped rentals and he did awesome, and he's still doing great. I'm so proud of him and all his hard work that he does.

A little bit of Jack

I love these teething biscuits because they keep him busy for a long time, but they are seriously the messiest things ever!

Just eating some lunch. He loves green beans, and he doesn't really want to eat baby food any more, he just wants real food or whatever anyone else if eating. He slaps his hands on the table til I give him more food. He's kind of a spaz, that's the one word I can come up with to describe him. I love his little face!
I came in to get him from his nap and this is what I found. I love love love this stage when they start pulling up on things to stand up and they think they're the king of the world. It's so cute.
My little puppy dog. He was crawling around the house with this in his mouth all morning. He thought he was pretty funny.

Jon and Kate plus 8

So after we let our other Chameleon go Brett has been wanting another one ever since, so he came home from the pet store with 2 for his birthday. 1 male and 1 female. The male is the one with the horns and yes he is shedding, kind of gross but kind of cool. Taylor says he got sunburned so now he's peeling.

So yesterday I'm checking them out and looking in the cage at the nasty poop everywhere, and I saw this little tiny baby chameleon. The female one was pregnant when we bought it and we didn't know. So I called Brett and told him and he said they usually have between 8 and 10 babies, so I keep looking around and sure enough I found 7 or 8 more. There were a couple that didn't make it :( It was crazy though I just kept finding more and more behind every leaf and branch. So we researched what they eat and how to keep them alive. So Brett runs to the pet store to get some baby crickets. It was really cool because they already knew exactly what to do, they just stick out their tounges and snatch up the baby crickets. It's so cute because they really are so tiny. I'll try to get a video of the babies eating. We're hoping we can keep them all alive, we'll see what happens. So if you live near by, stop by and check out our baby chameleons.

Can you see 3 of them in this picture above. Two in the leaves and a dark one on the ground.

8 Months!

He's already starting to pull himself up on things and standing up. It's so crazy. I still feel like he's so little. He's 8 months this week already! Time flys.

I'm not sure how old Taylor was in this picture, I think she's probably a little bit older than Jack is now but I thought it was funny that they both like to crawl under chairs. Jack does this all day long, then he gets mad because he gets stuck and can't get out. Funny kids.

Just Keep Running!

So I've been training the last couple of months for this Marathon in December. I've already signed up for it because it was half off if you signed up before a certain date. I think I'm posting about this so that now everyone knows that I want to do it so that will keep me motivated. I just ran in my first 5K this morning and I just kept thinking the whole time, "How in the heck am I ever going to run a marathon?" It's just something I've always wanted to do, and its fun to have a goal to try to achieve. But mostly I think I'm doing it to get back in shape and loose those last pounds from my two lovely little ones :) Thanks to my awesome friend Roo who gets me out of my house every night to run.

Happy Birthday Brett!

For Brett's b-day we went to costco and walmart :) Then we went to Haleiwa Eats, our favorite place. He's the big 28. Can you believe it? He's getting up there, but we still love his sweet little baby face. Hope you had a great day Brett. Love ya!

The Worm

video

This is his version of crawling for now I guess. It's funny cuz it kind of looks like his legs are paralyzed when he does it. I love this boy. 7 months and crawling, well doing the worm.

The Olympics!

Taylor had her olympic performance awhile back but I forgot to post about it. She did so good and she's becoming quite the gymnast. They did the bar, the balance beam, the valt and a floor routine. Good Job Taylor!!

Crawling?!

My baby is almost crawling!  This is as far as he gets though.  He get's up on his hands and knees but doesn't quite know where to go from here.  He's almost 7 months and almost crawling.  I feel like he's way too little to be crawling.  Taylor was 10 months before she started crawling so I just still feel like he's my little baby.  He'll probably be walking the next time any of my family sees him again.  So crazy!

Better video of Jack squaking

video
This is what I hear when he wakes up from his nap.  It's so funny to listen to him talk.  I'm finally proud to say that he now sleeps through the night and I can lay him down in is crib wide awake and he'll fall asleep on his own with out even crying.  Sometimes he'll cry for like 1 minute but he's definately getting the hang of it.  He goes down for bed at 7 or 8 and he doesn't wake up til 7 or 8 in the morning.  I'm in heaven.  I finally feel rested.  He's such a good baby, I'm so lucky.  Sometime I even catch myself thinking about having another one right away, but then I snap out of it real quick.  I'm waiting for Jessica to have another one first then I'll start thinking about it.  Maybe I'll even wait til Curtis and Megan have one first:) hint, hint.  That might be a while though, they're the smart ones in the family!  Love you all.
